On the Way to the Honeymoon

When Denece and Edwin got married, they left on their honeymoon.  Denece heard a few of her seminary classmates were going to meet them in Salt Lake at her Grandma Baty’s (Lettie Rebecca Stoddard Baty) house.  Her class mates waited up all night on her front porch but Denece and Edwin went the other way and spent their wedding night in Burley.  Denece went into the motel office to register.  She put down Edwin Perkins and Denece Argyle.  The manager started to ask questions and Denece had to convince them that they just got married.  They believed her and gave them the honeymoon suite.

An Engagement

BANCROFT, Ida - Mr. and Mrs. Delbert K Argyle announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miss Denece Ann Argyle, to Edwin Perkins, a son of Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Perkins of Pocatello.

The wedding will take place Friday in the Logan LDS Temple.

The bridegroom, now serving with the U.S. Air Force, has been stationed at Denver.

The newlyweds will make their home in Denver following the wedding
