Delbert Argyle and His Brother John

Memories from Denece Ann Argyle Perkins

(1915 Delbert Kynaston Argyle)

Once when Delbert was eleven or twelve, abt. 1923, he went with John, his brother, to the carnival.  The carnival would be set up just outside of Bancroft.  He had his fortune told.  He was told he would make a lot of money but he would never be able to hold on to it.

Delbert was always close to his brother John and anytime he had a problem he would talk it out with him.  They did enjoy disagreeing about cars.  John lived in Blackfoot.  He was a Chevrolet car dealer but Delbert always bought Ford cars.

John grew a big vegetable garden and provided Dora with tomatoes and  corn to can for the year.  The vegetable gardens often froze out in Bancroft and Chesterfield because they were a little higher in elevation.
