Denece remembers helping her mother wash clothes on a scrub
board. Her mom had a big board and she had a small board. They would heat the water on an old wood
stove in the pump house. It was a real
blessing when Delbert bought a used washer.
It was a Maytag that they rigged to work with a gas engine.
